It all started around 10am at a Wall Street Starbucks…

Sammy arrived early. Jackie was running late. Sammy was standing in line, having offered to get Jackie’s drink. Jackie walked through the door, saw Sammy, and thought to herself, “Wow! Who is that?!” Sammy beamed his “Sammy smile” and forgot to pay for the drink. He thought to himself, "She looks a lot younger than her photo" and liked her chucks.

Even though their meeting was to discuss a potential client project, it was clear from day one that there was more to this newfound connection...

It was a beautiful fall day in New York. Sammy rowed Jackie around Central Park in one of those boats (yes, the ones that you pay $40 to row for 30 minutes that are in all the NYC-based rom-coms). It started to rain and Sammy had an umbrella ready to shelter Jackie. 

They ran through the streets to a delicious hole-in-the-wall Indian restaurant. The conversation flowed and three courses later, they found themselves deciding to go for dessert at Maison Kayser. They talked, they laughed. Day turned to evening and then Sammy did the most romantic thing any New Yorker can do---he walked Jackie all the way from the west side to the east side, so she could catch the 6 train. The only problem? 

Sammy didn't know it was a date.

Sammy ultimately figured out that their time in Central Park was indeed a date and the rest is history....

Our path to love took us through New York, Asheville, Atlanta, Hangzhou, Italy, France, Costa Rica, road trips, bike trips, and much more. Some adventures we did together and some on our own, but we always stayed connected. 

We've seen each other at our very best (and worst) and we love it ALL. 

We closed on our first home on September 8th where we are currently living and building our new lives together, happily ever after!
